Climate negotiators gathering in Bonn from May 8-18  will be working towards ensuring that the vision of the Paris Agreement on climate change can be translated into action. The collective will to implement the global climate pact is clear: it entered into force years before anyone expected. The logical next step is to agree to the rules and processes that will underpin it. Bonn negotiators will set the stage now for countries to make stronger, clearer climate commitments by 2020 which countries need so they can make smart, evidenced-based policy decisions that foster sustainable growth and combat poverty today and in the future.Progress on transparency, accountability and the global stock- take process will ensure that what was signed up to in Paris is delivered in ways that are fair, equitable efficient and effective.
